Mike is the VP of Growth and Development for the Constructive Dialogue Institute. Here, he explains how CDI trains people to have better conversations across political boundaries, as well as within organizations and in participants’ personal lives. Mike also discusses plans for growth and scaling, as well as the importance of teaching students to learn how to peacefully interact with those with different beliefs and backgrounds. He emphasizes the importance of using these skills to prevent political violence and dehumanization. CDI focuses on building skillsets rather than changing minds on specific issues, and encourages an "explorer mindset." Mike discusses CDI's online learning program, "Perspectives," and invites listeners to join him in exploring the psychological roots of ideological differences. This is the majority of our conversation, edited for clarity and length. Join us for a partial transcript at www.betterconflictbulletin.org/.
